A “kiss cam” is often used at large events where a live video camera scans the crowd and focuses on couples.
Some days we don’t feel like smiling. Things just aren’t going our way. All sorts of things bring on sadness in our lives, and some days, we would rather cry than smile.
This is Jesus looking down at the city of Jerusalem, speaking of His deep sorrow for His people because of their rejection of Him: "Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her, how often I have longed to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!"
Downsizing, especially for seniors, is often the sensible thing to do. It seems wise to have less to manage, less to maintain, and more room for what truly matters.
Recently I saw a local billboard advertisement for cell phone provider T-Mobile. It read “Berks (County) We Got You Covered.”
How often do we hear this phrase when we think of our country and the sacrifices that our military personnel have made to preserve the freedoms we enjoy?
