Aged to Perfection!
What started out as a mid-week Bible study with twenty people has launched into Aged to Perfection (St. John’s Seniors).
The mid-week Bible study still meets on Wednesday’s from 10:30-noon in the coffee house, but our vision goes beyond that.
The seniors meet for a catered lunch and an entertaining program. The seniors also take seasonal bus trips.
We would love for you to join us.
For more info on meeting times and trip info, contact our senior’s ministry director, Bonnie Keffer,
BLOOM is a woman’s group of widows (we also include divorcees and wives whose husband is in a care facility) who meet the last Saturday of each month to enlighten our lives. In the past, we’ve gone to the Reading Public Museum, local Christmas concerts, a “tea”, picnics, breakfasts, lunches (take note—food is always on our minds).
Other times we meet here at the church enjoying board games, cards and participating in church functions. All activities are agreed upon by the members, and we’re always looking for new members. Please

Shawl Ministry

Women attend to knit & crochet together or bring in what they have made at home during the month. Prayer Shawls are provided when needs arise in the church such as comfort for a death or illness or celebration of a new baby. A member delivers a shawl to those in need and strives to let them know the church family has them in their prayers.

Our shawl ministry leader is Joan Ann Hackman and she can be reached by phone, 610-678 4437
Shawl Ministry will not meet June – August.  This ministry will start up again on the first Tuesday in September.
Shut in Ministry
This is a group of people that reach out to an assigned Shut-In to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and any other event that is important to that person. The members also visit the Shut-In at least once per month to offer companionship and discuss the life of the church as they are usually unable to attend services.
Keeping the Shut-Ins connected with St. John’s and assuring them that they are still members of the body is the ministries main goal.
